The poem we
posted earlier was written by Kirstin as a birthday gift to Sister Crowther, who has been so kind to share her garden spot with us. At church she found Kirstin in Primary and gave her the following poem in response.
Kirstin,
I think your family is so dear,
I love it when you're gardening here
Planting, watering, weeding and such,
I love it oh so very much.
I planted flowers just for you,
And yes they are for others too,
But you are special, kind and sweet,
Having you here is a very nice treat.
Your voice of laughter in the air,
Catches sadness in it's snare
And tosses it out to who know where
And happiness is suddenly there.
You are a garden in your special way,
Your face a flower cheering the day;
You, too, need water, nourishment and sun
To grow and get to be so much fun.
Thank you for your poem and rhyme,
I will enjoy it from time to time,
You have a talent for writing, you know,
I hope you will always let it show.
We are so blessed to be surround by such good people here in Virginia. We hope our little garden survives this week. We're having quite a heat wave! It had been in the hundreds with a heat index (humidity) of 110! We've been hauling water to our garden every day. We hope it does the trick. Our love to all of you we sure miss all our family.
