Today is Monday.October 13,2008. I went to hear Sara Palin' s speech with Sister MacQueen and Maddie. We all had to wear red. Mom gave us a flag pin to wear. After driving a couple miles, There was a traffic jam! Sister MacQueen asked if we wanted to walk the rest of the way. Maddie and me both said yes. So after driving a little bit more we parked next to a church. And then we walked all the way to the Richmond Raceway where Sarah Palin was going to give her speech. After walking many blocks we finally
got there. We saw that not everyone was wearing red!

We found out that we had to stand. There were 20-25,0000 people there. Sister MacQueen said that we could sit down on the grass if we wanted to. Sarah Palin gave her speech about children with special needs and we sang the Star Spangled Banner. Hank Williams Jr. sang it with us. After the speech was over we waited to find out if we could see Sarah Palin in person. We asked a policeman close by if we could go a certain way to meet her. He said that we couldn't so we walked all the way back to the car and we all went to go get some ice cream. When we got home we saw Maddie's brothers playing the backyard and Dad making a bonfire for Family Home Evening. Even though I didn't get to meet Sarah Palin I did have a good time hearing her speech.
