Caleb's Birthday

Caleb had a fun 7th birthday and he got 2 parties! You can't beat that. On Sunday we had a family dinner with the elders and our "adopted uncle" Rick Fowler. Caleb wanted "vernilla" cake with chocolate frosting. Kirstin helped decorate and Caleb loved the cool candles that burn with flames of different colors. He chose spaghetti with meatballs for his birthday dinner and was adamant about the meatballs!

week later he shared his birthday party with his good friend, Jed. The theme was, of course, Star Wars. His friends are absolutely wild but thankfully it was a rather physical birthday party so we all had fun. They started out by decorating a paper bag as their home planet. That later became their treat bag. They were then told that they were considered Padowans and the Jedi training academy and were given a course syllabus to complete. We went outside and had pod races with 2 wagons. We then moved into the garage and tried to throw little frisbees through the "floating rings". Rob hung some hula hoops from the ceiling with some fishing line. They also completed and obstacle course. Next we went to the bonus room to use the force to find Vader
(pin the tail style) We learned to shape shift (hot potato with a bag of various costumes that they had to try on) save Yoda (pop balloons to find the Yoda) and finally, defeat Darth Vader (pinata). They received their Jedi graduation certificate and went to the dining room to have Padowan Pizza, Yoda Soda, Jabba Juice and Cosmic Cake
