Uncle John comes to town

Robbie has been pressuring me to update our blog. He's become pretty interested in the whole process. That's good for me because it would never get done if not for him! By far, the most exciting event of the week was getting to see Uncle John. John had to go to Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA on a business trip so he was good enough to travel 90 minutes Thursday evening to have dinner with us and visit for a while. I haven't seen him for 2 years and the kids did not even remember him because they were too young when they last saw him. Of course Uncle John was an instant hit --especially with Aidan. All he wanted to do was play in John's car and be held by him. He didn't want anything to do with anyone else. John was pretty patient with the whole thing. I feel bad I didn't think to take a picture until after Aidan went to bed. I always love it when family comes to visit and it was so great to see John again.

I took Caleb to the orthopedist to get his permanent cast on Friday and I felt so bad because the doctor threw a fit about Caleb's treatment in the ER. I thought they did a pretty decent job but Dr. Rowles was unhappy with the type of cast he had and the fact that he hadn't been wearing a sling so he put a new cast (blue for Optimus Prime and Sonic the Hedgehog) on Caleb that went up past his elbow and was given a sling and told to wear it at all times. This really cramps his (and my) style! I'm going to encase all the kids in bubble wrap from here on out.

OH, How fun!! It's always nice to have family come visit, isn't it?!
Hope you all had a great time (even John). It sounds like you did.
